Candy Comedy have a cracker of a line up for November’s show that includes –
MC – Nicky Wilkinson
As a Comedian, Nicky has a warm, likeable, down-to-earth style of comedy that instantly puts audiences at ease. She was a regular on the stand-up circuit in the UK after reaching the finals of prestigious comedy competitions ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ and ‘New Act of the Year’ in 2013, and now lives in Australia. In 2022, she was selected by Mary Tobin Presents to be a part of the hugely popular ‘Best of the Edinburgh Fest’ show at both Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Her impressive stage presence, witty charm and considerable comedy performance experience are ensuring she moves quickly through the comedy ranks in Australia, making her ‘one to watch!’
Support – Mark O’Connell
As Ireland’s 2nd best export Mark makes audiences laugh from the moment he starts speaking. With stories that challenge cultural stereotypes and deal with the struggles of one man coming to terms with his sexuality in a judgmental world, Mark’s comedy is unexpected and addictive. From
working in mental health to dealing with adulthood, Mark is lovable and a little naughty.
Support – BJ Connolly
Autistic, confident and high energy is the only way to describe this eccentric comedian. BJ loves making jokes about all the awkward social encounters he experienced during his childhood, whilst attempting to develop his social skills and better understand the neurotypical world. His parody song, “I’m Autistic” has been streamed in over a hundred countries. You will never look at autistic people the same way after seeing BJ perform.
Headliner – Mick Neven
Mick’s material is observant, sharp and satirical, highlighting the craziness of modern life in a likable and relatable way. Its intelligent, hilarious and always delivered with high energy and a never-ending stream of punchlines that continually take his jokes to the next level. Hailing from Melbourne, Mick now calls the Sunshine Coast home, where he runs Funny Coast Comedy, and we are happy he is coming to make Seagulls laugh. Having worked extensively on TV and radio, Mick has headlined stages in every state in Australia.
Don’t miss this last midweek laugh of the year in our Free Comedy Night!
