Birds of a Feather

OUR STORY SPANS OVER 100 YEARS

It’s a long time to be part of a community. So long that, it’s fair to say,
the community – our flock – is now part of us.

Our beginnings lie in the formation of the Seagulls Football Club in 1908. Over the decades they cemented themselves as a pillar in the Tweed Heads community and by 1972 they bought a large block of land in Tweed Heads West and built the football grounds and clubhouse.

But the club was soon to become so much more than just a home to the local footy team (although we were proudly that for many years). We’ve expanded, and with that,
we’ve grown up with the community around us.

The club has evolved into a dynamic and innovative centre for dining, entertainment,
recreation and events. It’s become a home away from home for
our members, and a cornerstone for the region.

So, what is the Seagulls difference?

We could list our features, and there are many. Like the casual waterfront dining on the stunning outside deck. The live shows and regular entertainment to get your toes tapping.
The state-of-the-art fitness and wellness centre (with on-site crèche) to keep you active, balanced and energised. And the impressive Tabatinga play space to keep the
kids and grandkids wildly entertained for hours.

And of course there’s our picturesque waterfront location just minutes
away from spectacular golden beaches.

But we know what truly sets us apart is the strong bonds our members share,
the meaningful connections they make, and the feeling that they are valued,
appreciated and respected as part of our community.

So when it’s time for their daughter’s wedding, their grandson’s graduation, or their mother’s 80th birthday, we’re the obvious place to celebrate. Or when they’re organising a night out
for a show or even just a casual mid-week lunch with friends, they know our club
always offers great food, great service and a great time.

And they know they’re part of something bigger. We actively give back to our
community, through grants and sporting partnerships, funding staff to volunteer,
and sustainable and environmental initiatives.

So come on down – be part of our story.
